SUN BAKED AND HAPPY!

my doesn't time fly? Our happy holiday seems far away already. We had an amazing time (as usual) made extra special by the brilliance of Sam and Janeys lovely relaxed wedding. Filled with amazing weather, delicious food, wild dancing,  the sound of the sea and some very happy people. It was all hands on deck which made it even more fun and helped make it feel we were all an important part of their special day, sigh, wish I could live there forever...

...and then we return only to be greeted by somebody who didn't get the book at all so decided to go out of his way to write a horrible review about it on Amazon. geez you have to wonder why people feel the need to do such things. the most hurtful comment was that only our friends wrote reviews. Now admittedly, the first couple were from friends but we have been delighted that there has been so many amazing reviews from people who we've never even met before. so anyway, thank you to all of you who wrote such nice things...

...and almost as if to make up for this we had Tess's hen. It was another amazing weekend. the weather managed to hold out and we had the most beautiful yurt complete with pretty wood fired stove, tucked away in the most beautiful setting, surrounded by trees and wildflowers. We had a brilliant camp kitchen set up outside under a huge awning which was nicked off Eric (Amelias camper) and behind the yurt was a huge firepit with homemade log benches - perfect! we played silly games like sack race, egg and spoon, and three legged skipping. we ate cake, embarrassed Tess, laughed a lot and slept like logs. food was pretty good too! (photos to come when I get them developed) Karns stag was the same weekend and they all went climbing and caving - brave boys! Now I'm really looking forward to the wedding, which I'm sure you'll hear all about soon...

...and one last thing! badges are coming along nicely and we are going to send out a big batch by the end of this week...

love
Kxx

WE'RE OFF!

hello everyone,

so for anyone who missed it (observer article) - it was in the cash section in the back.

we also had a thing in the Times magazine on Saturday which was a complete surprise to us but very nice all the same. it was 3 recipes from the book - baked camembert, campfire biscuits and appropriately baked fish in newspaper
I'm still getting used our mugs in the paper!

so anyway if its a bit quiet round here for a week or so its because both of us are off on holiday to cornishland, yippee! we are going to our lovely friends wedding with music and dancing and running to be first in the sea so we are super excited!

so until the next time enjoy Junes wild world and campsite of the month

love
