squeezing out the last of summer

Hi everyone,
Winter camping seems to be on peoples minds at the moment. Having had a nice discussion about it on the forum it seems appropriate that I get a call from the Guardian yesterday asking for some top tips for seasonal campsites. They are doing a whole winter travel section and thought it would be nice to have a bit about camping. If anyone has any good suggestions on campsites that are good in winter send them over, I'll be writing it in the next couple of days
(kat@thehappycampers.co.uk)

As I said on the forum, Tess and I are typical fair weather campers but we are definitely not adverse to off season camping (if the forecast is clear!). We're always on the hunt for the perfect camping experience, (basically, chilling around the campfire in some gorgeous get away from it all scenery) and having that little piece of paradise all to yourself is all the more likely in winter when everyone else is hibernating and far to busy moaning about the fact that the clocks have gone back to have any fun!

Just think, british summer time has only just ended, doesn't that mean its officially autumn, not winter? an Autumn camp sounds alltogether more achievable and just as romantic. So go on! don't stay inside, get wrapped up warm, pack the hot water bottles, and have an adventure...

thanks honey xx

Cornwall was Dianas first trip and she did me proud check out these happy prints...
