" a relaxed, environmentally friendly site. You can choose your own pitch - there is plenty of space on our tree-sheltered site but booking is recommended, particularly at Bank Holidays when they charge a minimum of 2 nights stay. they welcome well behaved dogs on leads. You can build your own campfire or bring your own barbecue. Within the High Weald, designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty, Park Farm Camping Site sits by the River Rother near Bodiam Castle. It is surrounded by picturesque working farmland that is part of an environmental scheme to encourage wildlife."

In reality 3 very large fields. Very basic toilets / washing up. Gets rammed on Bank Holidays. Fires / Music all night long.

A friendly site in a wonderful location... the site owners delivered logs and bbqs to our door and a hot air balloon landed to adoring gasps of astonishment! However, our stay was marred by loud music, some really horrible kids and their rather unpleasant caravaning parents. from HAPPY CAMPER ZOE

Good for open fires and bbq's. The site was pretty busy at the weekend even in September. Family friendly but there was a lot of noise during the night, mostly from other campers shouting and a rave taking place in the neighbouring field. This would have been fine in the days when we were up for a party all night but not that great now that we have a baby. Toilet block was very basic and not that clean but all in all none of this stopped us having a good time.

Awful, awful, awful. It's a squatter camp. Really, it's bad - we drove in, drove round the field, and then drove out again. Avoid.

We've been to this site a few times now and it's great for a big group, particularly to be able to have a campfire to sit round, although it is true that it can get very crowded. There are some semi-permanent and permanent caravans surrounded by windbreaks, mainly round the edges of the fields. They're easily enough avoided though and, if it's not the most picturesque site, the atmosphere is very relaxed. It is noisy at night though so probably isn't the best place for babies and those who like early nights, although we had children with us and they slept like logs. Toilets and showers are a bit ropey as there probably aren't enough for the numbers that can be there on a busy weekend but this is probably more of a problem for people staying longer than a couple of nights. Even when it's been busy we've still been able to find space for plenty of games - setting up a volleyball net, football and cricket matches etc, which tend to attract kids from nearby tents and so get pretty big. Also, when you've had enough of playing games, Bodiam Castle is nearby and there is a nice walk to it and to the pub nearby. We've always had a good time there but it's definitely better for a group trip rather than a quiet weekend.

The farmers daughter who comes to collect the money is very friendly and they also come round at 7.30pmish to deliver logs and kindling....which is great! the toilets and showers are just 'OK'....but new ones are planned soon! Very laid back site, set up where you like or can fit in...some hooks-ups. There are resident campers on this site....eemmmm! all in all not a bad site really. Can be noisey though!

As a resident of Park farm during the summer months i find this site to be just what it says on the tin, Back to basics. Life is all rush rush and Tv and Pcs take over, here you can chill and relax knowing your kids are in a safe environment. The camp fires are a must as theres nothing better than sitting around it roasting your tatties or marshmallows. Although the amenities are basic they do the job and if campers want to leave it in a mess you cannot blame the owners for not keeping it clean, they do a great job delivering wood and keeping the site in full working order as well as their usual faming day jobs. Noise levels can get loud but if this happens after 11pm a wee word usually deals with rowdy guests. This site is definatley back to basics getting the kids to interact with each other is far easier without technology around to interupt their creativity making games to play. We love this site and yes i agree at times it does get busy hence the windbreaks around the residents plots , this is mostly for fire issues and if you have small children that like to wander off, also it stops campers pitching tents too close so that everyone has their space. The views are lovely the wildlife amazing and the fresh air makes you feel regenerated after a hard week at the office. Those of us that come here regularly are friendly and would help a fellow camper in their hour of need. This site will not be everyones cup of tea but it is mine and a few more people besides, if this is not your thing or you want entertainment Park Farm will not be for you. The cost is reasonable and the shops etc are in driving distance same as the beach. 10/10 to Mr R Bailey and family for making our family holidays and beaks such a pleasure.

We had a great weekend here. To be honest their website doesn't really give you the true scale of the place- I expected it to be a lot smaller and secluded. But the size of it means you can pitch your tent in a quiet spot away from the masses. No one troubled us apart from a few friendly hellos from fellow campers.

The people who run it seem really nice (and have a lovely dog) and being able to build a campfire was great - there was a real sense of achievement as we ate our baked potatoes that we cooked on the fire.
