Stiffkey (pronounced Stukey) is a beautiful, tiny Norfolk village right on the north Norfolk coast. The campsite’s grounds run straight down the edge of the marsh – you can then wander through the marsh to the sea (about a 10 minute walk). It truly is an amazing spot – the sunsets across the marsh, the big open skies, are incredible. It’s still quite a simply run operation. The shower and washing block is straightforward and functional and clean … and that’s about it. It’s just you and nature. Yes, it can get busy at Bank Holidays, but there’s enough space for everyone, and it’s a great place for the kids to roam about and meet other kids, in the woods at the side. The village has a great pub just 10 minutes walk away. And then it’s a short drive to the wonderful empty North Norfolk beaches. THANKS TO OUR LOVELY EDITOR MIKE

Even on a crowded Bank Holiday (May 2009) the site was great fun to be on. The facilities were kept spotless all week-end and the staff at the site ever helpful. Loved the free showers and the VERY hot water. This is a great place to stay, especially as there are spaces for only tents and camper-vans - NO CARAVANS. The 3 and a bit walk to Wells along the coastal path is great, as is the walk out to the sea. A great place to stay - we'll be back.

this campsite for us is the best around which is why we return every year and also visit on days out its great for the kids with the salt marshes to go crabbing but its also the unspoilt scenery and calmness this site offers that we enjoy the most we feel totally relaxed after our visits .this site offers showers and cleaning facilities which are very well kept but also such friendly people to greet you and give very important info such as tide times weather watch and whats in the area love it keep up the fab work xx

We stumbled acroos HSCC as we were rumbling along the Norfolk Coast in our campervan one Friday evening. We couldn't believe our luck...What a beautiful spot, and right on the door-step of our most favourite place-Holkham Bay. Friendly owners and fellow campers...Great times, didn't want to leave...But we will be back!! X
