Norfolk Nicety

A great place with secluded pitches. I am not one for large sites but this one is done tastefully and does not give you the impression of being one.

Pub on site, swimming pool, lovely grounds. Close to Norfolk Broads and the Yarmouth the Great!

This is an overall lovely site. Normally we go for the 'just a field and a loo block' type of site, as the point is to get back to nature a bit, but Clippesby has lots of lovely extras that don't seem to spoil the real camping experience. The staff are friendly, and see you to your pitch. There are a number of fields and you can choose to be a bit out of the way if you like and there are some really nice pitches among the trees. The loo blocks are kept nice & clean and the family bathrooms allow you to bathe little ones. There is a pub on site, but don't worry no 'laid on entertainment' or karaoke - just very convenient esp if weather doesn't allow cooking outdoors. |There is also a lovely bakery which bakes bread and breakfast rolls/croissants etc which you can even have delivered to your tent. There's even a small outdoor pool and a children's play area. It was still quiet enough for us to enjoy a typical camping experience and no obtrusive lighting so you can see the stars. Our daughter enjoyed playing out in the woods. All in all a lovely site & recommended for first timers who want some comforts but not the 'holiday park' experience. Close to Norfolk Broads and the new 'Bewilderwood' attraction.

We have stayed here a couple of times in recent years and are rather impressed by what it has to offer. Set in different section to accommodate tents, motorhomes, families, people with dogs or quieter areas it has something to accommodate everyone. It is set in woodland close to the norfolk broad and has a relaxed feel. On site facilities include a launderette, outdoor swimming pool, cafe, shop, miniature golf and most importantly a pub which serves home cooked food. My only thing I disliked about this place was that you have to get permission before you have a bbq - which I suppose is understandable considering where it is set.
