"The 20 acre site is specifically designed to be low impact and environmentally aware of this area of outstanding beauty. With this in mind, the camping is low energy (oil lamps and fairy lights), low pollution (no nasty chemicals or generators) and respectful to wildlife (the quieter you are the more chance you have of seeing the deer). Our showers are in a converted byre and the compost loo is in a vintage wooden shepherds hut. We like to hope that being green does not mean you can't be comfy, have a laugh or eat chocolate cake. The site has a limited number of visitors at a time, making it undercrowded. We hope you find it a fantasy land full of nostalgia, romance and all things kitsch, camp and bohemian. There are vintage and classic caravans including chrome Roma's full of etched glass, a converted truck with woodburner and a tipi with decadent interior. Each van is furnished in keeping with it's theme and includes funky decorations, vintage fabrics and kitsch items chosen to make you smile

The ethos of the campsite and its setting makes it an ideal place for groups, special celebrations and small parties.

We have placed our caravans in a wonderful setting surrounded by woodland in areas with space between them. We then have a central meeting point in a beautiful red and white striped circus style marquee heated for night-time get-togethers. We have an open fire pit and can provide spiced cider or mulled wine ingredients along with big cauldrons to warm them in"

Lovely quiet, slightly ramshackle site with a few sheep and cows in the neighboring fields and plenty of cats. Two showers, one composting toilet and plenty of hot water (we weren't brave enough to try the outdoor bath though!). Fires allowed on site and some caravans have woodburning stoves. Only downside is the track to the site is a bit rough.
