One nights' camping, on a site from "The Happy Camper"... We were looking forward to a more 'real' camping experience as we joined this site to find them.... when looking for directions online, we came across another review from somewhere else giving it only 1 out of 5 stars! The main complaint being the owner.. When we got there, the woman couldn't be more helpful.

The site comprises of 2 fields, one for caravans and one for tents...a unisex toilet block kept very clean, made up of a sink for dishes, a toilet and 2 shower/sink/toilet 'rooms'.

As a site there was little to dislike...but equally nothing much to shout about...I don't think we'll be going back. Funnily enough during a quick chat with another camper, he mentioned the miserable owner... so I suppose, that problem remains. Some noisy ducks and cockerels, a little background road noise errrr the directions on their website are out of date....the A4146 has been 're-styled-...just make sure you actually head for Stoke Hammond. From the north it'll be on your left BEFORE the village, and from the south it'll be on the right AFTER the village. Overall 5/10...'ok'
