I begrudgingly agreed to a review of this campsite. I say that because this place is so fantastic I really dont want anybody else to know about it, I want to keep it as my special little secret. Red Shoot is on the door step of The New Forest, Wild horses and cows roam freely in the fields and roads around you. The facilities are first class, free showers, no queuing for tolet blocks or washing up. The staff are helpful and friendly, the young guy who showed us to our pitch couldn't do enough for us, he recommended the pub (an easy 2 minute stagger back to the tent) with it's own on-site brewery serving up local ales. ( If I ever make it to heaven I'm fairly sure St Peter will welcome me with a pint of Forest Gold and a Red Shoot Ploughmans Special platter ) Burley is an easy bike ride away and the campsite is easily situated for access to all the major attractions of the South coast . If you venture into the forest, and why wouldn't you ? Try and head to Linford Bottom car park where if you walk along the path you will find the perfect picnic spot. If you do choose to go here you will have a great time and if you are like me you will not want to leave. Just try and keep it to yourself and let's keep it our little secret.
