Simple quiet campsite with plenty of room to play camp games! Close to A12 for easy access to rest of Suffolk. Rendlesham forest worth a visit.
Left London Friday 7pm and arrived 9.15pm to a warm welcome and a bustling campsite. The weather had been pretty wet the days before so the woodland area was more like an amazon swamp than a beautiful glade so, we opted for higher ground and found a nice pitch overlooking the wood rather than in it.
We bought a barrow load of wood, kindling and marshmallows which although great, was a tad overpriced at £20! The barrow load lasted nearly two nights, you are buying into the atmosphere so you take the hit on the chin.
Saturday saw 30+ children scrambling for glo-sticks that the site owner threw into the air... the parents secretly liked it too... remember those glo-stick days, ay, ay?
All in all a lovely site with good facilities (they have a microwave too so we could sterlise the nippers bottles!), the showers were a little dirty but hey... you're camping and what's wrong with a bit of dirt! :-)
