'A small family run camping site on a working farm offering peace and quiet camping with all the treats of the welsh countryside; magnificent scenery, clear water swimming holes and rushing rivers. As well as the more traditional campsite they also offer ‘wild style’ Woodland camping with absolutely no facilities (by arrangement) so if you’ve ever yearned for a real getaway this ones for you'

Stayed on a wet birthday weekend as a group of 6 blokes. Very friendly family run the site. The basic rule seems be have fun and chill out, as long as you respect that this is a working farm, and respect the other campers. facilities are basic but homely. A nice escape from the stiff attitude at a lot of sites now. and of course u can have fires :)

Probably the best campsite i've visited. We were met by Ian and showed the woods then basically left alone to get on with it. Facilities are excellent and the relaxed atmosphere is second to none. If you want a nice flat camping field a stones throw from the showers and toilets or a little bit of peace and quite, this place has everything. I cant wait for my next visit in July and I will be reccomending this campsite to my friends.

We visited Glyn Y Mul Farm for the 2nd May Bank Holiday - our first Happy Camping experience! - and had an absolutely wonderful time.
The campsite was 'full' - which meant that there were 4 tents in our field, a few more in the 2 fields either side, and a handful in the woods. Ian was lovely - very kind and considerate, and the little touches such as kettle and fridge in the washing-up room made all the difference on a rainy bank holiday! We were particularly glad that there was no onsite shop/bar/entertainment - nothing to disturb the peaceful countryside and wildlife.
Despite the rain, we managed to cook supper over an open fire every night - thanks to Ian supplying dry logs to supplement the damper specimens we gathered in the woods!
We will certainly be going back - and next time maybe we'll brave the woodland camping!

Nice site with friendly and helpful staff.. facilities ample, clean and well serviced.. great to have free kitchen with hot water for dishes etc. Only spoiled by a group of 'regulars' with sited caravan who played radio and loud talking/laughing in their awning until well past 2.30am.. which looking at previous reports was unexpected and unwelcome.

could not have chosen a worse weekend for camping! pitched tents at 7:30pm on friday evening and the rain did not stop 'till sunday am. did the wild camping thing and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, 4 adults, 2 boys (6 and 4) and a roaming jack russell. Ian the owner was as previous reviewers said a very lad back, helpful and great chap so look forward to a good experience. good toilets and shower facilities (albeit only used on day 2 by the boys..)

Just come back from a tour round Wales and stopped off at Glyn Y Mul Farm for a couple of nights!
We were greeted by Ian and shown around, he explained we could camp in the fields or the woods for some wilder camping!!! He took us down and explained everything and left us to find a spot... We went down to the woods and found an amazing pitch next to the river. From the main site you cross a virtually disused rail track and go as far into the woods as you like. Our spot was about 15mins back uphill so bear in mind you have to cart your stuff up and down... We don't camp light either!!!
Facilities at the camp were really nice, flush toilets and hot free showers, a kitchen and freezer all free, there is drinking water but it doesn't taste too great so we bought some bottled from the shop!
When camping here you really do feel like you're in the middle of nowhere, its lovely. We made a fire and just sat listening to the river and the ducks that are near by!
Close by is Afan forest which is good for mountain biking and some amazing waterfall walks!
Will definitely go back!
