The hut comprises of a mattress on the floor (take your own bedding), a stove, a single gas stove, some basic utensils and plates, saucepans & table and chairs. There is no electricity and the toilet is a hole in the ground. I took my husband for our anniversary (get away from it all!) and it was perfect, very romantic at night with all the candles going and we were completely on our own - bliss! There are some gorgeous walks and villages nearby, Bibury was my favourite!

We went for the simple, gimmick-free camping. Sheltered field, 20 minutes walk from the farm shop next to a little wood. Cold water, compostable toilets, shared fires and cheery smiles. We were only there for one night but met some lovely people and ate some fabulous, organic farm fayre. Will definitely return.

We stayed in the hut by the pond for the weekend. No noise apart from nature, amazing!

A small clearing just for us and a campfire - lots of wood available with a little chopping.

A barrel of cold water, no electricity, a hole for a loo and basic kitchen supplies with a bottle of gas - but all you need really.

The roast dinner at the farm shop was delicious. The farmer greeted us with a big smile even though we were later then we had arranged.

The only thing I would suggest is long trousers or socks as the hut was surrounded by stinging nettles. We actually only got stung a few times. Oh and also take some candles to light the hut, even though there were some left from the people before.

Brilliant romantic getaway!

we stayed here for one night on the way to Cornwall and can thoroughly recommend. Basis facilities for the camping field (longbottom field)- 2 compostable toilets and a cold tap but it's a lovely spot next to the woods and the cafe and shop are great with friendly staff who made a fuss of the children. it was our very first night camping (unless you count a night in the garden practicing!) and what a great introduction.
