'Troytown campsite is balanced right on Western edge of St Agnes, the most remote of the Isles of Scilly. Not accessible by road a tractor takes you and your belongings to the site which is right on the beach. With amazing views of the ocean and lighthouse the crystal clear waters are perfect for swimming, rock pooling and watching the setting sun, bliss!'

"Camping on St Agnes in the Scilly Isles is best in May or June when there's hardly anyone there. I love the walk from the quay to the island's campsite across the camomile meadow - I take off my shoes and walk barefoot and it feels like I'm returning to somewhere that's really special. At high tide, the campsite is just 10m from the sea and you really feel that you're at the edge of Britain and that the next stop is America. There's so much wildlife to see. One of the best wildlife experiences is swimming with grey seals."

We had an amazing week here! We were camped 10m from the sea and although it's not wild camping...it's very close in all the best ways! There are a small number of fire pits and we were fortunate enough to have an spot with a fire. This is the only campsite on the Scillie's to accept dogs and the island is perfect for them - getting up before everyone else for a walk on the beach is well worth it! The farm has a small shop selling it's own milk for your porridge or pancakes and the island also has a great pub, a post office & General store, and a gift shop that doesn't look much, but stick your head inside and it's like aladdins cave. Everyone is really friendly but even when busy the island feels tranquil and you won't need to go far to find an empty beach or a secluded spot to sit and enjoy the view. I loved it, and so did my Labradors! x
