"Every August we open the the farm for tent camping. The campsite is located 1km off the road down a farm track, in an area of outstanding natural beauty, making it quiet and secluded, and safe for children. There are extensive sea views from most parts of the site, and guests have the use of the of the private beach, which forms part of the farm. The site covers several fields so it never feels crowded, even on busy weekends, and it is always possible to choose your own pitch. Friends and families can camp in groups as they please. Campfires are allowed, adding to the atmosphere, and firewood is usually available free of charge from piles around the farm. Each field has toilets, and there are free hot showers at two locations on the campsite, as well as some outside solar showers. There are some washing up sinks available around the site. The site covers a large area, so there is loads of room for kids to run around, fly kites, play ball games and the like. We encourage the use of bicycles around the site to get to the showers, shop etc, so helping to reduce the amount of car traffic. Guests are free to explore all the areas of the farm, and to look at the animals if they wish. We have comprehensive recycling facilities which we encourage guests to use.

The beach is a quiet, shingly cove running along side the site and out to a rocky headland. The headland forms a sheltered area with rockpools which is good for snorkelling. The beach is clean and good for swimming. Fires and barbeques are allowed on the beach - some campers have been known to catch their own supper!"

'We went there last year. They are only open during August, and sit high upon the hill above the sea.Wonderful views, logs supplied (£2.50 per bag...may have gone up this year tho'...)Solar powered showers,we found them freezing as not much sun during the week we went but we did find a warmer shower in another field.Toilets in each field in a small tent(hole in ground) but better toilets in last field on way out.Small shop selling farm produce (was Organic farm last year....probably still is but you never know...).Sold burgers for bar - b- ques, ice creams etc., and had some large freezers for us to put our ice blocks in(no charge last year) Our first time camping and we absolutely loved it.Dogs allowed. It was made all the better by the allowance of camp fires, dogs, ball games, frizbees, cycles, music, late night drinking sessions etc., I definitely recommend it.They even have their own beach(pebbles tho') for searching for fossils........we even sat around our dying fire in the rain!!' We stayed here last september and had a wicked time, free range organic meat and eggs for sale, fires allowed, what more could you ask for. Even the saw dust bogs were pretty cool, apart from when your dead drunk. A very nice campsite

Fantastic! the best campsite i've every stayed at. the views are amazing and the open air solar power showers are wonderful. the most environmentally friendly campsite i've ever visited. i just wish it was open all year round.

My friends and I have just returned from a long weekend of camping at Eweleaze farm and already I can't wait to to go back! The campsite is situated on some cliffs right by the sea and the views are stunning. There are plenty of fields to choose from so it is possible to have as quiet or as central a pitch as you like. The showers may not always have been very warm, but they were perfectly pleasant and there were plenty of them. Likewise the recently added earth toilets. Best of all however was the freedom of the camp, campfires, children dogs and ball games all over the place. We got rained on every night but it didn't dampen our spirits a bit. I thoroughly recommend this place.

We went to this campsite on the basis of the other reviews on this site. Certainly the site is really amazing - the views are really cool and the facilities are great. Our experience was spoilt though by really self satisfied and pretty unwelcoming staff. There was a bit of an air of superiority from them. Which is understandable because the site is great but is a shame as it brings down the good vibe.
