Campfires are definitly NOT allowed at this campsite. It is purely geared up for caravanners with tarmac roads throughout the fields. If this does not put you off enquire about the price!! Alternatively join the caravanning club, book and tow your caravan through the security coded gate and you will enjoy this site.

There are two Cae Du campsites; this one does allow fires, there are no tarmac roads and the price is fantastic. The showers are clean and it has the best view when washing up. If you're lucky you can see dolphins swimming past. I go every year and love it.

This Cae Du most definitely allows campfires and is one of the most wonderful places I have been. The people who run it are fantastic, and chop up logs for you at all times to ensure you can enjoy your fire, on even the dampest of days!! The place still retains a natural camping charm without bowing to the over modern facilities and entertainment that other sites feel pressurised to indulge in, and I for one have been completely bowled over by the peace....

We've been heading to this gem of a site for over 10 years, it's probably one of the best little known sites I've come across.

Finding it can be tricky as there's only a tiny little sign at the side of the road which say's 'camping', it's right on the bend so easy to miss.

The farm owner is cheerful and has always welcomed us in with a good old natter, the showers are great (coin operated) and we have never needed to Q for them.

The site slopes down to the beach, we normally camp on the right as you head in, down near the wall you'll find some flat spots. There are fire pits dotted around but I can't remember if the chap sells wood at the farmhouse or not.... there's plenty washed up on the beach however. So, if you like stunning sunsets.... sparkling blue sea.... the occasional dolphin swimming by.... this is the place for you! Mmmmmm... bliss :)

This is one of the best campsites I have ever been to, the owners are lovely and friendly. It has spectacular views and on clear evening with the campfire burning the most beautiful sunsets and the minted lamb burgers that are on sale really are mint!

The best campsite we've ever stayed on. The views are amazing and a few days breathing in the clean Welsh sea air was absolutely brilliant. A very relaxed campsite, there are stone fire pits dotted about everywhere so everyone can pitch next to one and have a toasty fire going in the evening- great for cooking the minted lamb burgers that are on sale at the owners farmhouse, they also sell bundles of wood for your fire. We payed £12 for two nights (for 2 people sharing a 4 man tent) which is excellent value. The shower block is clean and right in the middle of the site where people can pitch up either side so it's never far away for a midnight wee! The showers take £1 coins (£1 was enough for us both to have a shower) and there is a hairdryer for 20p, great for me as I look ferral after 20 minutes camping! There is lots to see and do, when the tide goes out the beach which is on the site is great for rockpooling and exploring and if you fancy a day trip out there are lots of lovely villages nearby. All in all an excellent campsite and one we're already planning on going back to. Highly recommended!

We had a lovely time at Cae Du Campsite, we saw a dolphin in the sea and had campfires every night! The facilities are clean, and the owners are friendly- we would definitely go back.

It is a great site but I think it is a bit expensive (£24 for a tent and 4 people), when you have to pay at least £1 (I needed £2) for a shower. You can't fault the location which is right on the beach, but there aren't enough showers or toilets. I will be going back though, the sunsets and location are the best, with the added bonus of a campfire too.

Fantastic coastal campsite in a very beautiful part of Wales. Good amenities but basic enough to be considered semi wild? Panoramic sea views and fires allowed, you can buy lamb burgers, eggs and firewood from the farmer but its even more fun finding your own driftwood from the beach. Will definetly return soon.
