we all LOVE sitting around the campfire of an evening getting whisked off to that trance like state induced by the beautiful flickering of the open fire (and the wine!). so why aren't there more campsites that allow campfires or even have a fire pit for everyone to use?

to us a campfire is one of the seventh wonders of camping and we would love to see more campsites that allow fires. cooking on an open fire is in our opinion one of life's essentials. throwing on the fish you caught that day, digging out hot potatoes from the coals or simply just toasting some marshmallows and when everyone is full up you can sit back contented and enjoy the free entertainment.

so we would love to see more campsites allow campfires even if its just one communal fire that you can all use, that way you get to meet other campers too.
