'Penlanole's 40 acre organic farm is home to cows, sheep, and saddleback pigs ranging over ancient woodland, orchards and peat bog through to a kitchen garden, duck pond and hay meadow. We rear our own stock to supply organic beef, mutton, lamb and pork to local butchers, hotels, farmers markets and consumers, and our Christmas turkeys are a famous favourite. In October/November the annual apple harvesting and pressing party yields delicious fresh apple juice which we also sell as a speciality. All our produce is certified by the Organic Farmers and Growers Association. As a private nature reserve, we host school visits and informative farm walks, and welcome and encourage volunteers of all ages to join in with farm tasks and seasonal activities such as haymaking, lambing and apple pressing. Exhausted farm hands can then collapse under the stunning, star-spangled Penlanole night sky - a sight not to be missed A family of four or group of friends can take over the converted stable block with a youth hostel-style shared sleeping platform, toilet and basin and basic cooking facilities. The stable costs £50 per night. For the more outdoorsy types, camping pitches are available in the apple orchard and well-drained field close to the main house'
